A modern CCTV system is far more than a recorder and a few cameras. Our system designs start with risk and operational requirements — coverage zones, identification vs recognition vs observation distances per BS EN 62676-4, light levels at night, masking of public areas under GDPR, and storage retention. We install IP cameras from Hikvision, Dahua, Hanwha and Axis, paired with NVR or hybrid recorders, PoE switching, mobile app monitoring and optional 24/7 monitored alarm receiving centre links. Smart analytics — line crossing, intrusion, ANPR, missing object, people counting — can dramatically reduce false alerts and operator load. GDPR compliance is built in: privacy masks over public space, written impact assessment, retention schedules (typically 31 days), signage to BS 7958 and ICO guidance, and access controls on the recorder. We provide system user training and a complete handover pack. We work with retail, manufacturing, transport, schools and residential developments across Newcastle Upon Tyne, Gateshead, Sunderland and Durham. We also take over legacy analogue systems and migrate to IP without rewiring where coax can be repurposed (HD-TVI).
