Overview

Access control systems range from a simple proximity reader on a single door to a fully networked cloud-managed system with thousands of users across multiple sites. We design every system around your operational reality — staff turnover, contractor access, out-of-hours operations, fire compartmentation and means-of-escape requirements. We install Paxton Net2 and Paxton10, Salto KS and SVN, Suprema biometric, and Mifare/DESFire card systems. Door hardware includes mag locks (typically 600lb or 1200lb), electric strikes, motorised locks for high-security applications, push-to-exit buttons and break-glass override units. Critical to compliance is BS 7273-4 — the standard governing the interaction between access control and the fire alarm system. We configure fail-safe release on every escape route door on alarm activation, plus monitored break-glass override at the door itself. All systems are commissioned with full functional testing of the fail-safe sequence. Cloud management (Paxton10, Salto KS) means you can add and revoke credentials from anywhere, issue mobile credentials by SMS, and audit door activity remotely. We also integrate access control with IP intercoms (2N, Hikvision) for buzzer entry from your phone.
